Google AdMob & Advertising
To keep BD Gold Calculator free, we use Google AdMob to display banner and interstitial advertisements. Ads are shown at natural transition points (after a calculation is completed) to minimise accidental taps.
Google AdMob may collect and use the following to serve relevant ads:
- Google Advertising ID (GAID) — a resettable, anonymous device identifier.
- General device information (model, OS version, screen size).
- Approximate location derived from IP address (not GPS).
- Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks) for billing and fraud prevention.
Google's own privacy practices are governed by the Google Privacy Policy and the AdMob Partner Policies.
Internet Access & In-App Browser
The app requests internet permission for two purposes:
- Quick Check feature: Opens an in-app WebView to load live gold market rates from Google Search or BAJUS (Bangladesh Jewellers Association). We do not log, intercept, or store any data transmitted during these browsing sessions. The WebView is subject to the privacy policy of the site you visit.
- Ad delivery: As described in Section 2.
The core gold calculation engine works entirely offline — no internet connection is required for Vori/Ana/Roti/Point calculations, purity conversion, VAT, or making charge computation.
How We Use Information
Since we collect no personal data ourselves, our use of information is limited:

Children's Privacy
BD Gold Calculator is a general-purpose financial utility app intended for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 years of age.

Because we do not collect personal data, most data-subject rights (access, rectification, deletion) do not apply directly to us. However, you have the following controls:
- Ad preferences: Reset or delete your Google Advertising ID in Android Settings at any time.
- Crash reporting: If Firebase Crashlytics is integrated, you may opt out through Android's data-sharing settings.
- Uninstall: Removing the app immediately stops all data collection by AdMob related to your device.
