Hishab Potra is designed for small business owners to manage accounts, track transactions, and generate professional reports — all with an offline-first approach. Your financial data is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers without your explicit action.

By using Hishab Potra, you agree to the terms described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the application.

Hishab Potra collects minimal data. Here is a transparent breakdown:

Data stored locally on your device (never sent to us):

• ✓Customer and supplier names, phone numbers, and transaction records
• ✓Payment and receipt entries with dates and descriptions
• ✓Your PIN (App Lock), stored in encrypted form locally
• ✓App preferences and language settings

Data collected by third-party services (detailed in Section 4):

• ✓Device advertising ID — collected by Google AdMob for ad personalization
• ✓App usage events — collected by Firebase Analytics (anonymized)
• ✓Google account information including your email address — collected when you sign in via Google to use Google Drive backup or Firebase Auth
• ✓IP address — may be collected by AdMob and Firebase infrastructure

Data processed within the app is used exclusively for the following purposes:

Hishab Potra uses an offline-first architecture. Your financial records are stored in a local database on your device and are not transmitted to our servers under any circumstances.

Backup Options:

  Google Drive Backup — Backups are encrypted using AES industry-standard encryption before upload. They are stored in a private, hidden app folder on your own Google Drive account, inaccessible to us.

  Local Backup — An encrypted backup file can be exported directly to your device's local storage for offline safekeeping.

  Restore System — The app can detect existing backups when you reinstall or switch devices, preventing data loss.

App Lock (PIN Security):

The optional PIN lock feature stores your PIN in an encrypted format using Android's secure storage APIs. We do not have access to your PIN or the ability to recover it.

Hishab Potra is designed for business use and is intended for users 18 years of age and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from users under 18.

If you believe a user under 18 has used this application, please contact us at the email address provided below and we will take appropriate steps to address the situation.

You have the following rights regarding your data:

  Access & Delete Local Data — You can delete all ledger data directly from within the app, or by uninstalling it.

  Opt-out of Personalized Ads — Go to Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization.

  Manage Backup Data — You can delete your Google Drive backup at any time from the Google Drive app under Manage Apps.

  Revoke Contacts Permission — You can revoke the READ_CONTACTS permission at any time in Android Settings → Apps → Hishab Potra → Permissions.

  Disable Notifications — Notification reminders can be turned off in Android Settings → Apps → Notifications.

Since we do not directly collect or store personally identifiable information on our servers, data deletion requests are handled through your device and the respective third-party platforms (Google).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify users through an in-app notification or a notice on the app's Google Play Store listing.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Hishab Potra after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
